Welcome to the International Maritime Medical Association (IMMA)
The authoritative voice on maritime health issues
IMMA is a not for profit trade organization, founded in response to a global need for a central focal point for the maritime industry to get answers to medical or health-related issues.
Its mission is to represent the interests of the maritime medical sector at the highest governmental and non-governmental levels to ensure its voice is heard and the actions of its stakeholders understood when vital decision concerning the regulation and operation of the sector are being formulated.
Another goal is to eliminate all the duplication shipowners/managers and P&I Clubs perform when certifying PEME facilities, medical providers and ancillary medical services.
IMMA has a board of nine directors, is incorporated in England with offices in the Baltic Exchange in London under the Presidency of Michael Van Hall.
